VIC: Labor vows to halt hospital privatisation

The Victorian Opposition says the privatisation of country hospitals and nursing homes will
be halted if Labor wins government.

Launching its health plan for rural Victoria, opposition health spokesman JOHN THWAITES
says Labor won't be able to reverse the privatisation of hospitals in the Latrobe Valley and
Mildura.

But it is committed to increasing funding for other new hospital facilities or capital
works.
